How not to be late Organization operation

Punctuality is unfortunately not the competence with which I was born. However, I quickly realized that this is a skill that people who want to succeed in life simply must have. So learn about my proven ways to fight late arrival that interferes with both late-life life and the entire environment.
Wear a watch - on your wrist
I myself got the impression that the watches are everywhere - on the phone, on the computer, on the oven, in the car, and I put my watch on my wrist less and less often. How many times have I stared at the place where I don't have a watch? With morning hair styling in the bathroom or morning makeup at the dressing table? A million, I think. That's why one of the first things I do after washing my hair is to put on the watch.
Set your alarm clock to different times during the day
Personally, to get to work I have to get up at 6: 00, at 6: 15 to get out of the bathroom, to 6: 25 to have breakfast, to 6: 40 to paint myself, to 6: 55 to dry my hair and finally to 7: 00 to leave the house. For strategic hours like 6: 45 and 7: 00, I set alarm clocks and thanks to them I know that the strategic time is over when I should finish one activity and start another. Of course, I do not set them every day, I use the Alarm Clock Xtreme application, where I once set myself alarm clocks for all working days.
Set the alarm clock before an important exit
It is not uncommon for me to "sit down" or "work hard", which is why 15 minutes before an important event, for which I cannot be late - whether it is for a weekly music session with my child or for a visit to the dentist once a year. Depending on the nature of the exit, I set up periodic or one-time alarm clocks.
Calculate travel time
To best estimate the travel time to a given place, I use various websites or applications such as Google Maps if I'm driving a car or When I arrive when I use public transport - thanks to them I can best estimate the travel time and multiply it according to the time of day by my own multiplier - this is my margin of error for unexpected traffic jams or looking for a parking space. In the case of Google Maps, if I have the opportunity, I check the travel time at a similar time when I will have to go somewhere - this application takes into account the traffic volume, which will show a different travel time at 10 am and another at 16 pm.
Create a list of daily essentials
My mother implemented this point in my life. Very often I was late because I was in such a hurry that I forgot half of the things I had to come back to. That is why I have two checklists in my head that I have to leave home.
Private list:
1. watch
2. phone
3. wallet
4. proof of registration
5. keys and keys
5 things in total, like 5 fingers - my mother is a master of associations and she always teaches me to remember numbers.
Business list:
1. watch
2. phone
3. wallet
4. proof of registration
5. keys and keys
6. laptop and laptop charger
7. organizer
total 7 things like lucky seven
Finally, state that to change your life and fight bad addictions you need a new watch and go shopping - just don't be late for the bus 😉

And I have it again that I was always everywhere 30 minutes too early. It wasn't until my boyfriend taught me to leave without being late, to be 5 minutes earlier. I had such a disease after my mother, who came to work 30 minutes earlier, sat down, drank coffee, and only at the right time did she start working.

Oh crap, as you can see, no extreme is good - you had to waste a lot of time, but all of this was probably easier to overcome than being late 😉 and my mother was probably the Employee of the Year all her life 😉 people usually come to work at 8 and then a cup of coffee, tea, some of them are can still be painted 😉

And you tempt me with a proposal to buy a watch, the next one more 🙂 Such a paradox, I am crazy about watches, I love to watch, buy, wear them, and I'm late anyway.
Agnieszka
For most of my life I had the idea of having one watch and taking it off for a bath. Now I feel that there are too many beautiful watches to limit myself so seriously
Mockingjay
You have a mistake in the title of the post, it should be "how not to be late" but the post is very useful
Agnieszka
Thank you - I have already corrected it 🙂

I got the delay from my husband ... I used to be on time, and now it's different. When I go out alone and this is something important, I am not late. When there is something less important (i.e. I am not fired from work, for example), I get closer to the appointed time, but still try to be on time. On the other hand, when I go out with my husband or not at all, when the three of us go out with the child, being on time is almost impossible. Most often, they are short, several minutes late, but there are also longer ones. And you have to explain yourself and apologize.
Agnieszka
Oh yes, and worst of all, that there is something to apologize for, because lateness is interpreted by many people as disrespect and unfortunately it is impossible to disagree. However, for me the child was also a mega time catastrophe, for the first time in our lives we were even late for Christmas Eve when Miki was 3 months and it's probably an hour, we just couldn't make it despite all the efforts. Fortunately, the older the child, the less packing accessories, there are not so many urgent needs so it is getting easier.

When I plan the next day, I think about which I have to get up - and I always set the alarm clock 15 minutes before this time - my body does not even feel this change, and a quarter of an hour is really a lot of time :)
Agnieszka
Are you a lark or an owl? Because I'm an owl ... 15 minutes longer sitting is no problem for me, 15 minutes earlier getting up is a torment 🙁
ohdeer_blog
The problem is that I'm not a lark or an owl haha. I love to sleep and if I could I would have fallen asleep at 22 and got up at 9ta, but since Milla was born I learned that 15 minutes in the morning will not really save me and it's worth it :)
Agnieszka
But the number is indeed congratulations on your willpower. My subconscious tells me every morning that the world will not collapse if I get up a quarter of an hour later 😉 so I have to really tighten myself not to succumb to it. Because as you write - it's really worth getting up earlier 🙂
Ola - Dream Up Your Space
I hate being late, nothing stresses me so much, such as having to enter the classroom when the lecture is already underway. The greatest danger is going out during the day - it happens. that I'm ready half an hour ahead of schedule, I will only sit at the computer for a moment and bam, you have to sprint to the stop!
Agnieszka
It was exactly the same for me - that's why now, when I'm ready and sitting down to a book / blog / fun, I set my alarm clock for 5 minutes before going out, so I don't miss this moment 🙂

I have punctuality in my blood; ) useful tips for children

oh, I'm jealous - I still have to work on myself, but I can do it 🙂
