Moses basket for your baby? Read the opinions on how the Moses basket works and whether we would decide to buy it a second time.

Before Miko\u0142aj was born, our friends lent us a wicker basket on wheels, so I could have the baby with me all night long. The basket was absolutely beautiful and we have wonderful memories of using it. It was permanently attached to the rack on wheels, which made it more of a small crib than a Moses basket, and unfortunately it turned out to be a rather impractical solution in our three-story house – I couldn’t just take it by the handles and move it anywhere, put it on the couch or carry it upstairs. It was also quite wide, so it took up a lot of space.<\/p>\n

Moses basket by the second child<\/h3>\n

When Maks was born, richer with experience gained as debuting parents, we decided to search the Internet for the perfect solution. What should I do, which bed should I choose to have my baby always close together, wherever I go so that he feels at ease, safe, let me be calm about him?<\/p>\n

After analyzing the products proposed in the network, I decided to\u00a0basket of Moses Shnuggle<\/strong>. This basket is definitely more solid than the wicker one, but we also attach great importance to\u00a0mobility<\/strong>. Of course, we do not lie in the bedroom all day – we spend a lot of time in the living room, garden, attic office or in Santa’s room, and I wanted to have Maks with me all the time so that I would not have to listen to his crying with my soul on my shoulder, taking a shower, relaxing in the garden, or by writing another post for you;).<\/p>\n

We chose\u00a0Moses Shnuggle basket in DREAMI version<\/strong>. In Poland, it can be found in colors\u00a0cream, gray and white<\/strong>, with or without booth. We decided on the latter, without a booth version.<\/p>\n

Basic features of Moses Shnuggle basket<\/h3>\n

The first advantage of the basket is its length – I noticed that it is\u00a0longer than other baskets<\/strong>I found – is 90 cm. Such a Moses basket will serve the Baby longer, I think even up to 6 months of age – until it starts to sit down by itself.<\/p>\n

Carrying the baby in the Moses basket is very convenient –\u00a0the handles are solid and strong<\/strong>, do not rub like in a wicker basket, so we can be calm about the safety of the child, moving him from place to place.<\/p>\n

When writing about the Moses Shnuggle basket, it is impossible not to mention the stands – ours is the DREAMI model and it had\u00a0dual function stand<\/strong>with feet on one side and skids on the other. We work well in the living room when we all spend time together, for example playing with Santa Claus. We can then put the Moses basket on the carpet to make it rock better – it is more difficult to rock on the plank floor. Increase its stability at any time by turning the stand inside out – The child will also be much higher immediately.<\/p>\n

Our favorite rack for Moses<\/h3>\n

However, my favorite is\u00a0ROCKING stand<\/strong>. It was not in our kit, we ordered it separately but it was a very good choice. We carry the stand from the DREAMI version around the house, and we put the ROCKING by the bed permanently – it takes up little space (I easily move it and move it away from the bed), and its\u00a0height<\/strong>\u00a0is another plus: I can easily rock or stroke Maks in the Moses basket, only extending my hand. I can take him in my arms\u00a0without leaving the bed or bending over<\/strong>\u00a0too much, which was a great help for me, especially in the first days of the baby’s life, when I did not regain full fitness after caesarean section.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the small skids of the stand, even a really gentle movement of the child is enough to make the Moses basket in rocking. Rocking him lulls Max to sleep and helps him fall back down after waking up at night. However, you have to pay attention to how you put the child down – as you can see, this stand does not swing sideways, but back and forth. If you place your baby too high, the stand may tilt so that the head is lower than the legs. To stop rocking, I simply place a book under the skid.<\/p>\n

Mattress in a basket of Moses<\/h3>\n

Each Shnuggle basket has included as well\u00a0mattress<\/strong>\u00a0– it was made of hypoallegenic foam, in my opinion it is neither too hard nor too soft (it is healthier for the Child to sleep on too hard than too soft ground). Important is the removable cover, which is both waterproof and breathable, and can of course also be machine washed at 60 degrees. The set does not include sheets, but you can easily buy any sheet dedicated to Mosaic baskets or gondolas, I have two – white and gray.<\/p>\n

Under the mattress, along the housing, are arranged\u00a0vent holes<\/strong>that provide airflow. I found an additional functionality for them: I placed the breath monitor in the Moses basket and put the cables from the mat through the holes. I can be calm about Maks’ safety – there are no cables inside the basket for the baby to get entangled in.<\/p>\n

In summary, what is most important in the case of Moses Shnuggle’s bin is his\u00a0functionality<\/strong>: it will serve us longer, and in addition it is very easy to carry, which is extremely important in our lifestyle, and several rack options give us the opportunity to choose one tailored to our needs.<\/p>\n
