Fun in homestaging or metamorphosis of a seaside apartment

I have always loved British interior programs. Especially those in which flats for sale or rent were prepared in order to display their qualities and to increase their attractiveness in a simple and inexpensive way, and working in such a homestaging company has always been my dream. Our move was therefore an ideal opportunity to have fun in homestaging.It turned out that after taking all the decorations and small elements of equipment from the apartment, which we had occupied for several years, it became "empty and cold", which made it much less attractive. More people visiting it said that unfortunately it is not cozy. The arguments that it is decorated in three neutral colors: white, black and gray, to which new tenants can add their favorite colors and create any atmosphere, did not help. I knew right away that it was a great opportunity for me to finally try my hand at being interior designer and decorator and make a metamorphosis of the apartment, support the imagination of potential tenants and style the apartment yourself.

We only had one day and 800 budget for the whole task.

There was so little time that we only went to two stores for shopping: Home & You and of course Ikea.

We decided to choose a leading color for furnishing the apartment and here we were in agreement - the apartment was by the sea, so we opted for fresh turquoise sea.

 

Homestaging in the salon, i.e. the metamorphosis of the salon

For the warmth of the living room, we decided to use pillows in soft fabrics in fresh turquoise and warm beige colors. there was also a warm, creamy blanket under which you can hide with a laptop and write a blog. We also added tableware so that potential tenants could imagine a delicious home dinner after a hard day's work. A flat with utensils is also easier to rent.

Homestaging in the kitchen or kitchen metamorphosis

In the kitchen, I wanted to create the atmosphere of a morning breakfast for two. Can you start the day better?

Homestaging in the bedroom or metamorphosis of the bedroom

In each bedroom, of course, the main and the most important piece of furniture is the bed, hence the obligatory purchase was matching the turquoise living room and referring to the green kitchen colorful bedding. Above the bed I put frames that didn't help me after moving house, and inside them I supplemented them with colorful newspaper clippings. I moved the chest of drawers to make it look nice at the entrance. A curtain hung on the window that will allow you to take a better nap.

Homestaging bathrooms or bathroom metamorphosis

The bathroom practically did not require any changes, I added a set of candles, because I associate it with a hot bath and just for myself, perfect after a day. I also hung a hand towel.

The total amount of expenditure on the metamorphosis of the living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom was PLN 612,67. So we managed to easily fit into the budget that we planned at the beginning, i.e. PLN 800. We also ordered the cleaning of the apartment for PLN 100 - nothing improves the quality of the interior more than cleanliness and a beautiful, fresh smell.

The best evidence that the metamorphosis of the apartment was successful was the huge interest in it, as well as the expressions of the viewers and the fact that it found new tenants within 2 weeks.
